Description:
MC856 digital low voltage stepper motor driver, using the latest 32 bit DSP technology, suitable for driving the 57 and 86 series motors, with excellent medium and low speed performance. It can set any subdivision within 256 and any current value in rated current, which can meet the needs of most small equipment. With the built-in micro technology, even under low subdivision conditions,it can achieve the effect of high subdivision. The medium and low speed operation is very smooth, and the noise is very small.
Specification:Model:DM856Type: Digital Stepper Motor DriverWorking voltage:20V - 80VDCWorking Current range:1A - 5.6AMotor Phase:2Adaptable motor:57/86 Series motorsignal voltage:5VDimension:118mm x 75.5mm x 33mm
Application:Suitable for all kinds of motion control automation equipment and instruments, such as electronic processing and testing, semiconductor packaging, laser cutting and welding, laser printing, packaging machinery, engraving machine, marking machine, cutting machine, apparel plotter, CNC machine tools, automatic assembly equipment etc.. It is the first choice for users with low noise, high speed performance and competitive cost performance.
The DM856 is a versatile fully digital stepping driver based on a DSP with advanced control algorithm. The DM856 is the next generation of digital stepping motor controls. It brings an unique level of system smoothness, providing optimum torque and nulls mid-range instabilities. Motor self-test and parameter auto-setup technology offers optimum responses with different motors and makes it easy to use. The driven motors can run with much smaller noise, generate less heat, and move smoother than most other drivers on the market. Its unique features make the DM856 an ideal solution for applications that require low-speed smoothness.
Compared to the DM432C, the DM856 provides a large voltage range and higher output current to able to drive a larger variety of stepper motors. Furthermore, the DSP of the DM856 is capable of driving the motors at higher speeds (above 3000 RPM) offering servo-like performance. The DM856 can be considered an improved version of the DM432C due do its broader supply voltage range.
Function description
Function
Operation instructions
The output current of the driver is set by the three dial switches of SW1-SW3, and the output current has 8 levels. For specific output current settings, refer to the drive panel instructions.
Set the auto semi current function of the drive through the SW4. The OFF indicates that the quiescent current is set at half of the dynamic current, and the ON represents the same static current as the dynamic current. For general use, the SW4 shall be set to OFF to reduce heating and improve reliability of the motor and actuator. After the pulse string stops, about 0.4seconds or so, the current automatically reduces by 50% (actual value 65%), the calorific value theoretically reduces 35%.
By the SW5-SW8 four dial switch set microstep subdivide, the total of 15 stalls microstep. When the user sets the subdivision, the drive should be stopped. The micro set, please check the drive panel.
The drive has red and green lights. The green light is the power indicator lamp. When the drive is powered on, the green light is always on; the red light is the fault indicating lamp, and when the overvoltage and overcurrent faults occur, the trouble lamp is always on. After the fault is clear, the red light goes out. When the drive fails, only the power on and re enable to clear the fault.
PUL+ and PUL- are the positive and negative ends of the control pulse signals; the DIR+ and DIR- are the positive and negative ends of the directional signal; ENA+ and ENA- are the positive and negative ends of the enabling signals.
The A+ and A- are connected with the positive and negative ends of the A phase winding of the stepping motor; B+ and B- are connected with the positive and negative ends of the B phase winding of the stepping motor. When the A and B two phase windings are switched, the motor direction is reversed.
DC power supply, the input voltage range: 24~80VDC, power supply is greater than 200W. Recommend 48VDC
